A woman asks a neighbor to watch her dogs, and then she gets a letter from him that makes her cry.

These days, life can be very hard and stressful. If you want to take care of your mental health, you should always be ready to ask for help. That’s what a woman chooses to do. When she asked her friend for help, she got a letter she didn’t expect. Read on to find out more…A woman had to take a trip and needed someone to watch her pets while she was gone. Someone had to take care of her three dogs, Smokey, Oreo, and Jennifer.

It’s not hard to find care for one dog, but it’s a whole other story when you need to find care for three. She was desperate, so she asked her retired friend to help, and to her surprise, he did! She came home from her trip to find a letter hidden under her door. Inside the package was a letter that she shared on Reddit because it was so unbelievable. It was an easy letter.

It began with a “good afternoon” message. The letter then got to the point: “This letter is about your vacation two weeks ago and ho you let me watch Smokey, Oreo, and Jennifer.” It started, “I just wanted to give you a letter of thanks.” “You already know that I’m old.” These places aren’t as busy as they used to be, so I don’t go outside as often. In the middle of the pandemic two years ago, my dad was also told he had stage four colon cancer.

I was left alone in my house after he died. I don’t have a wife or children. I might not wake up again if I go to sleep one day. Every day I just sit here and think about what I’ve done for the world. Before I met Jennifer, Smokey, and Oreo. Your pets are the cutest, funniest, and most annoying people I’ve ever met (don’t worry, they didn’t mess up my house too much!). They gave me the drive to start over with my life. I began getting up early every morning.

For the first time in years, I started going for walks outside with my pets. They would bark or rub against my leg every 10 minutes to make me laugh when I was feeling down for a second. When I took them to the park, that was the best part of their stay. It had been a while since I was outside for so long. It wasn’t just getting to connect with my pets again; I met new people, started talking, and became friends with a few other people.

I was so glad to be able to talk to my friends, connect with other people, and feel like a real person again. I know this makes me sound very philosophical, but I’m telling you the truth. It makes me feel good to help someone, even if it’s just my friend. Soon after, I got two dogs. (You might have heard noises from my house, sorry!) I now walk to the park with them every day and talk to friends I made there. That being said, I just want to say thank you. It means something to me again because of you. It doesn’t matter what else.
