Dwyane Wade, a former NBA star, is dancing with his 4-year-old daughter Kaavia James. He shared a video on Friday where they were dancing in their kitchen to Jack Black’s song “Peaches” from The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
In the video, Wade played the song on his phone and danced while his daughter did a cute spin. They sang and danced together, and Wade even held up the phone to share the music with the camera, making the person filming laugh. Kaavia showed her adventurous side by dancing between two sofas, and Wade watched with a smile.
Wade humorously wrote, “When dad is responsible for the morning routine before school” on the clip.
In another video, Kaavia excitedly yelled, “Dad, Peaches!” and Wade followed her dance moves. She repeated the song title a couple more times, making Wade laugh before the video ended.
Earlier, Wade, his wife Gabrielle Union, and Kaavia dressed up for Halloween. Union and Wade were a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and Kaavia was a blue princess. They shared a post captioned, “Our princess every day of the year.”
Wade and Kaavia have danced together in the past. Wade posted a video in October where they danced in front of a mirror before his Hall of Fame speech.
Wade and Union welcomed Kaavia in November 2018. Wade also has children from a previous marriage and thanked his family, especially his wife, in his Hall of Fame acceptance speech.
Wade expressed his love and gratitude for his wife and her support over the years. He also thanked her for being a loving presence for their children. Wade mentioned how she even knew the names of NBA referees and would shout at them, saving him from fines. He expressed his love for her and their 15-year journey together, acknowledging both their imperfections and perfect moments.
