Kate Middleton may be locked in a fight with cancer, but she has made a “clear commitment” to her public works.
That’s at least according to a senior royal aide who also hinted as to when the Princess of Wales may return to her schedule of royal engagements.
Kate bravely announced her cancer diagnosis back in March, revealing that she would be undertaking preventative chemotherapy treatment moving forward. Since then, she has kept herself away from the spotlight, and very little has been forthcoming concerning her condition.
Yet it’s said the Princess is “excited” to be at the heart of the launch of a new project that could boost the UK economy by £45.5billion ($57 billion) a year. The Daily Mirror say that Kate’s Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood will this week publish a report from eight British firms that will identify five areas of business that can assist children under five and the adults who care for them.
The report will apparently outline how investing in early childhood can be of huge benefit in the future.
Speaking to the MailOnline, a senior royal aide said: “The Princess of Wales was the driving force behind the business task force. She has been kept up to date since the inception of the task force and she has read the report and been briefed on it.
“This is a clear commitment she has made throughout her life of public service that this will be focus. That will continue when she returns to work. But we have been really clear that she needs the space and the privacy to recover right now. She will return to work when she has had the green light from doctors.”
The Centre for Early Childhood, previously described as Kate Middleton’s “life’s work”, was established in 2021.
Though it’s far from a concrete update as to her well being, all news regarding Kate is likely to be lapped up by the general public. A tremendously popular figure in the UK and beyond, the Princess of Wales sparked alarm when she disappeared from the public eye entirely following a planned abdominal procedure in January.
After long weeks of mystery, intrigue, and speculation, the 42-year-old mother-of-three issued the aforementioned video wherein she bravely discussed her diagnosis. This, readers will remember, came only a short time after King Charles’s own cancer diagnosis.
At this time it is not known what sort of cancer Kate Middleton has, nor what stage she is in.
