“Every [prenatal] appointment they had while they were alive was a blessing to me,” said Savannah.
Her husband had already departed for boot camp when she learned that they both had Down syndrome.
Savannah gave birth to her twins at 29 weeks gestation when she was brought to the hospital. Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman, identical twin daughters, were born on May 12, 2021.
The twins were born two months prematurely, so they had to spend many weeks in the NICU before they could go home.

“They are called mono di twins—meaning that each had their own sac—because they shared the same placenta, which is why they were going to be identical,” the woman said.
“Mo di twins are extremely uncommon.” When you factor in Down syndrome, the percentage rises to one in two million.
Savannah claims that despite their unique disability, they are just like any other youngster.
“They are experiencing emotions.” Their heartbeat is audible. They can communicate well. They know how you operate. She gave me her word that they would come.
They may be running a little behind schedule, but as I’ve stated, they will succeed. I’ve discovered that these kids are lively, optimistic little beings.
Savannah keeps posting incredible updates on TikTok as each youngster accomplishes new goals.
“I’m going to tell them that they can accomplish just as much as we can if they work hard and are determined enough.”
Nevertheless, others feel compelled to criticize Savannah and her family. As a result, the young mother has had to respond to some really rude social media users.
