June Lockhart, the iconic actress, will celebrate her 98th birthday on June 25th this year. With a career spanning almost 80 years, she gained fame for roles in shows like “Lost in Space” and “Lassie.” Lockhart, a third-generation performer, started early in show business with a role in “A Christmas Carol” in 1938.

Her notable performances include playing a mother in “Lassie” and Dr. Maureen Robinson in “Lost in Space.” She formed close bonds with her on-screen family, and she holds two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Lockhart’s career continued with roles in shows like “Grey’s Anatomy” and “General Hospital.” Married to John Maloney for eight years, she has two actress daughters, Anne and Lizabeth Lockhart.

In 2015, Lockhart received a Lifetime Achievement Award, stating, “I used to think 90, gosh, that’s old. But I feel 55. I’m very fortunate to still be active and working.”
