In her video, Rebecca Shumard, 26, told that her baby was born prematurely, at 27 weeks old, and was being nursed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She was in the US where the laws allowed companies to ask their employees to work immediately after giving birth if they want to take maternal leave later.
Rebecca had no choice but to get back to work quickly because she wanted to spend her maternal leave when her child was taken out of the NICU. However, she was extremely stressed worrying that she wouldn’t have been able to produce milk for her baby when she finally returned home.

We understand how hard the dilemma she was facing. Even in the best of circumstances, balancing work and nurturing a child is difficult. And it’s terrible to ask a new mom to sacrifice every second she should have with her child.
People on the Internet helped Rebecca with useful advice.
