Do you recall seeing a man resembling a cat frequently on TV shows during the 2000s? This American man made a shocking transformation to his looks, attempting to mimic a tiger’s appearance through numerous plastic surgeries and other procedures.
Dennis Avner, a programmer from Michigan and a descendant of the Huron and Lakota Indian tribes, endeavored to resemble his tribal totem animal, a cat. The media referred to him as Cat Man, even though Dennis’ totemic name was “Stalking Cat”, and he preferred to be addressed as such.
In his pursuit of becoming a tiger, Avner underwent several plastic surgeries. These included splitting his upper lip, modifying his eyebrows, adjusting his hairline, reshaping his teeth to resemble fangs. Stalking Cat’s body and face were adorned with tattoos, and he wore yellow eye lenses with a feline-eye insignia. He even inserted a mustache into his upper lip, secured by piercings.
Owing to his extraordinary appearance and the journey to attain it, Dennis garnered significant media attention. He was frequently invited to TV shows and interviewed. Stalking Cat himself stated that he never kept track of the amount spent on his surgeries. He underwent them for spiritual growth, dismissing their material cost.
Finding a pre-transformation picture of Cat-Man online is nearly impossible. Avner kept his original appearance well-hidden. However, there is a childhood photograph where he appears as just a regular boy—innocent, with lovely eyes.
