The Curious Experiment

One Saturday night, the wife calls her scientist husband and expresses her concern about his lateness. He explains that he is currently busy with an experiment alongside his team.

Curious, the wife asks, “What kind of experiment are you working on?” The scientist husband enthusiastically replies, “Well, let me explain. We’ve added a derivative of C2H5OH, which is the scientific term for whiskey, to ambient temperature H2O (water) and aqueous CO2 (soda). To cool down the mixture, we’ve also added super low temperature solidified H2O, which is just ice. Now, while we wait for some protein, we are fumigating the lab with vapors of nicotine.”

The wife, still trying to grasp the complexity of the experiment, asks, “So, how long will this experiment take?” The husband reassures her, saying, “It’s a 4 or 5 round experiment, so I may be late. But don’t worry, I’ll be home soon.”

Understanding the importance of her husband’s work, the wife responds affectionately, “Oh, dear. I won’t disturb you. Take your time.”

In summary, the scientist husband’s experiment involves a mixture of whiskey, water, soda, and ice. While waiting for the results, the lab is being fumigated with nicotine vapor. Although he may be late, the wife shows her understanding and support.
