A bus with 23 people, including the driver, crashed and flipped over on Interstate 87 in New York on Friday. This happened around 12:50 p.m. in Lake George, upstate New York. The bus, from Skyway Coach Lines, was going from Montreal to New York City when it rolled over between exits 23 and 22 on Interstate 87.
The New York State Police stated that one person died, another has serious injuries, and 10 others have less severe injuries. However, a local news site, NEWS10 ABC, reported that 12 crash victims were taken to Glens Falls Hospital, and one is at Albany Medical Center.
The police are asking for witnesses to call (518) 783-3211. They also want anyone with dash camera videos of the incident to come forward.
The Warrensburg Central School District and Lake George School District sent buses to help transport the crash victims to safety.
