There are many people in our life that we might consider to be special but perhaps one that is most special to many of us is our grandmother. There is no doubt that they are the best and when we have a loving grandmother by our side, we feel as if we are able to take on the world. It doesn’t matter if you are talking about the tasty treats that they make, the visits that we have or the presents that they bring us, it always seems as if they put a smile on our face.

Psychology today has something to say on the subject as well. They say grandmothers tend to be calmer than our parents, so it is much easier for us to approach them when we have something on our mind. They are less likely to lash out at children, although that may not have been the case when they were only a mother instead of a grandmother.
