Dana Carvey is well known for his work on Saturday Night Live, and his eldest child, Dex Carvey, 32, died on Thursday. He tweeted about his son’s death on X (previously known as Twitter) and also expressed his condolences to everyone who has lost a loved one to addiction.
“Last night we suffered a terrible tragedy,” the comedian wrote. Dex, our darling son, died as a result of an unintentional drug overdose. He was 32 at the time.” Dana and his wife, Paula Zwagerman, issued a joint statement. The couple disclosed the terrible fact that he died as a result of an unintentional overdose.
“Dex crammed a lot into 32 years. “He was extremely talented in so many areas-music, art, filmmaking, comedy-and pursued them all with zeal,” they wrote. said, “It’s not an exaggeration to say that Dex loved life.”
Dex died at his home in Los Angeles, according to documents, and the matter is still under investigation.
Dana and Paula married in 1983, and their eldest kid, Dex, was 32 at the time. Thomas Carvey, the couple’s 30-year-old son, is their second child.
They went on to claim that Dex “made everything fun” and that “when you were with him, you loved life too.”
They went on to add that “he loved his family; his friends; and his girlfriend, Kaylee,” and that “Dex was a beautiful person.” His handcrafted birthday cards are priceless. We shall never forget him.”
Dex was both an actor and a comedian. During his father’s tour in 2018, he even opened a show for him.
