If it were possible, one would willingly make any sacrifice for their child. There are no insurmountable obstacles, no futile endeavors, and no impossible challenges when it comes to ensuring the well–being of one‘s child. Why is that? Because as a parent, the last thing you want is for your child to experience fear, sadness, or loneliness. In a heartwarming story, Ben Sowards, a parent from Utah, USA, received a call from his 6–year–old daughter, Valeria, and realized he needed to get to her school right away. Valeria had, as it turned out, a minor “incident.” Ben could see that his daughter was embarrassed about soiling her clothes, but it wasn‘t too severe. Before heading out to pick up his daughter, Ben took a moment to think. He decided to bring some laughter into his daughter‘s day because he believed there had to be a way to make her situation a little less distressing. According to The Huffington Post, before Ben got into his car to go to the school, he intentionally spilled water on his pants. Upon his arrival, he asked Valeria if he could use her backpack to “conceal” something. Valeria finally understood what her father was up to when she saw the conspicuous wet mark on his crotch. Valeria felt better about the situation when she realized that her father was going through the “same mishap.” She was initially upset, but as soon as she noticed my wet pants, she gave me that look that said everything was okay. Every dad knows that particular look. We simply left the school as if nothing had happened. Ben could have easily driven to the school and picked up his child without going to such lengths. Nevertheless, he went to great lengths to spare her the embarrassment. What an extraordinary father he is! While not all fathers are as creative as Ben, there are many wonderful fathers in the world.
